Oliver Dear

Background

Oliver joined Rochem FYREWASH® in 2026 as a Workshop Technician, bringing with him a broad range of practical engineering and maintenance experience.

After studying Mechanical Engineering and Maintenance Engineering at a technical college, Oliver built his career across several hands-on technical roles. He worked as a Maintenance Technician with Aquavitrum before joining Rochem, having previously spent ten years running his own business specialising in bathroom and kitchen installation.

Earlier in his career, he also worked as a HAVS Tester for Power Tool Sales UK, gaining valuable experience working with specialist equipment and safety standards.

At Rochem FYREWASH®, Oliver is part of the workshop team, supporting the manufacture and assembly of the company's gas turbine and compressor cleaning equipment. His practical background and attention to detail have enabled him to quickly settle into the role and become part of the wider engineering team.

Outside work, Oliver enjoys working on motorcycles, from restoring and modifying classic bikes to building custom projects. He also has a passion for overland adventure travel and, in 2018, completed an epic 13,000-mile off-road motorcycle journey through Canada, coast to coast across the United States, and on to Vietnam and Cambodia.

Oliver lives in Winchester with his wife and their daughter, and enjoys combining his love of engineering with exploring new places and taking on new challenges.
