Ewald Van Warmerdam

Background

Ewald joined ROMACO, part of the Rochem FYREWASH® Group, in 2024 as Technical Manager, bringing with him decades of experience in chemistry, product development and technical support across the industrial cleaning and specialty chemicals sectors.

After completing his military service, Ewald began his career as an Application Chemist at a printing ink manufacturer in the Netherlands, focusing on product development and solving technical challenges for customers. He went on to hold technical and commercial roles with DSM Resins, Mavom, Caldic and Surfachem, building extensive expertise in industrial cleaning products, specialty chemicals and international business development throughout Europe.

At ROMACO, Ewald is responsible for product quality, technical support and the continued development of the Rochem FYREWASH® product range. Since joining the business, his role has naturally expanded beyond technical management and now includes helping oversee the day-to-day running of the company alongside colleagues responsible for production, administration and logistics.

One of Ewald's proudest achievements has been leading the development of the next generation of FYREWASH® F2. He is passionate about developing innovative solutions that help customers improve equipment performance while remaining safe for both people and the environment.

Ewald believes that the greatest lessons in his career have come from working directly with customers and suppliers. For him, no classroom can replace the experience of understanding a customer's challenge and finding the right technical solution.

Outside work, Ewald enjoys mountain biking and recently challenged himself to learn to play the guitar from scratch, embracing the same curiosity and willingness to learn that has defined his professional career.
