Julie Brown

Background

Julie Brown MSc has been supporting Rochem FYREWASH® since early 2017 as an independent Health & Safety Consultant, providing practical advice on compliance, auditing, risk assessments, training and the continual development of safe working practices.​

Julie's career began in the catering industry, organising events ranging from military regimental dinners to national sporting events and large public occasions. As her career progressed, she moved into quality systems, compliance and NVQ assessment before specialising in health and safety with Veolia and Biffa.

While working full time, she completed a Master's degree (MSc) in Occupational & Environmental Health & Safety Management through Portsmouth University before establishing JayBee Safety Ltd in 2006.​

With more than 30 years' experience in health and safety, Julie has investigated twelve fatal accidents, numerous serious incidents and attended two Coroner's Inquests.

This extensive experience has shaped her practical, no-nonsense approach to helping businesses create safe working environments that are continually reviewed and improved.​

​Outside work, Julie enjoys life in the New Forest with her husband Chris, to whom she has been married for over 40 years.

She has bred and competed with New Forest ponies for many years and is also a keen sailor, having crossed the English Channel on numerous occasions. A passionate dog lover, Julie's cocker spaniel is a familiar visitor to the Rochem FYREWASH® office and enjoys greeting the team whenever they visit.​
