Wim de Vries

Background

Wim joined ROMACO, part of the Rochem FYREWASH® Group, in 1989 and has spent more than three decades supporting the production of specialist chemical products.

Throughout his career, he has witnessed the company's growth, changes in ownership and production, and the evolution of the business into the specialist manufacturer it is today.

When Wim first joined the company, he worked across many areas of the factory, loading containers, operating forklift trucks and supporting wherever help was needed. As the business developed, so did his experience, giving him a detailed understanding of the production processes and the teamwork required to deliver high quality products.

Over the years, Wim has played an important role in supporting the manufacture of specialist cleaning products, including those used by Rochem FYREWASH®. His practical knowledge, reliability and willingness to help wherever needed have made him a valued member of the team for more than 37 years.

Having experienced every stage of the company's journey, from periods of rapid growth to times of significant change, Wim believes the greatest strength of the business has always been its people. He enjoys working as part of a close knit team and values the friendships he has built with colleagues throughout his career.

Outside work, Wim enjoys spending time with his wife, two children and three grandchildren. He is a keen football supporter and rarely misses watching his local village team on a Saturday afternoon, enjoying the opportunity to catch up with friends as much as the match itself. He also enjoys watching films and exploring new places with his family.

After more than three decades with the company, Wim continues to enjoy cycling to work from his nearby home and remains proud to be part of the team that supports the continued success of ROMACO and Rochem FYREWASH®.
